KIMSAN Doctrinal Statement

We accept those large areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, typologically, and ethically there has been general agreement among all true Christians. Because of the specialized calling of our ministry, we desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that the interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.

THE WORD/THE HOLY SCRIPTURE/THE HOLY BIBLE

We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Scripture of God (66 books cannon Bible), and that they are without error in the original manuscripts, that they have been supernaturally preserved, and they are the final authority of all matters of faith and life. (2 Tim 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

GOD

We believe in one true, eternal and living God, the creator and sustainer of all things, existing in three persons- the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in one position but different in functions, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power and unchanging in His being, goodness and truth. ( Deut 6:4 ;  Isaiah 45:5-7;  Mat 28:19)

We believe that God the Father sovereignly directs all things according to His own perfect plan and to bring Him glory. That He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of people, and he saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Rom. 11:36; Eph. 1:11; 4:6).

We believe that in the love of God, the Father sent His  eternal Son, Jesus Christ, born of a virgin as fully human (Is. 7:14; Matt. 1:23,25), and He being fully God, one with the Father, fully man, one with mankind, at the same time ( John 1:1-4, 14; 10:30). We believe in His sinless life (1 Peter 2:22),  and that He was offered up as the final Sacrifice for our sins on the cross bore its penalty and shame and this fulfilled the obedience we owed to the righteousness of God. We believe that Jesus Christ was bodily resurrected from the dead and that He ascended to Heaven and now sits at the right hand of God where He ever lives to make intercession for His people (Rom.1:14; 3:24-25; 2 Cor.5:14-15; 1 peter 2:24; Heb.7:25).

We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father as promised by Christ, to oversee the Church. The Holy Spirit empowers and leads the church and baptizes everyone who receives Christ into the body of Christ. He indwells, teaches, seals, and transforms into the likeness of Christ, and gives gifts to each one, empowering them for worship and service unto God. He convicts (He does not condemn) the world of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 14:16-17, 26; 16:7-14; Acts 1:5; Rom. 8:9; 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 1:13-14)

MAN

We believe that man was made Holy in the Image of God. However, man fell into sin willingly, incurring the penalty of both physical and spiritual death. All human being are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thoughts, words, and deeds thus deserving eternal death (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:7; 3:1-17; Jer. 17:9; Rom 3:1-24; Eph. 2:1-3).

SALVATION

We believe that salvation a free gift from God and it is given by Grace through faith in Christ. God is the giver of this salvation. Everyone who confesses and repents from his sin, receive Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior, is justified on the basis of His shed blood and resurrection from the dead. He becomes part of the earthly family of God (the Church) and is eternally secure, preserved unto eternal life .(John 1:12; 10:26-30; Rom. 8:28-30; Eph. 1:7;  2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18)

THE CHURCH

We believe that the church is made up of all those who place their faith in Jesus Christ who is the head of the church (1 Cor. 12:12-13; Col. 1:18). The local church is autonomous (Titus 1:5). All members of the church should give themselves to the study of God’s word (Discipleship), fellowship with other believers, remembrance supper and prayer (Worship) (1 Cor. 11:23-29; Eph. 4:11-16; 1 Tim.2:1-3). Jesus commissioned His church to proclaim the gospel to all creation in the power of the Holy Spirit (Evangelism), and to make disciples of all nations, baptizing all who have believed and teaching them to walk in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ (Ministry) (Matt. 28:18-20)

THE ANGELS

We believe that angels are created beings, some are holy, and they worship and serve God (Is.6:1-4; Lk. 2:9-19; Heb.1:6-7; Rev. 5:11-14). Others are fallen and reprobate and serve their leader, Satan, in their part to rebel against the plan of God (Is. 14:12-17; Matt. 25:41; Rev.12:7-12)

THE JUDGEMENT DAY

We believe in the personal imminent return of Christ (1 Thess. 4:13-18). We believe in the judgment day, at Christ’s coming, Satan and his angels (Demons) and all the unsaved (lost) will be cast in the lake of fire forever. The saved will spend eternity in the presence of the Lord, sharing forever His glory and righteousness ( Daniel 7:7-27; John 7:3; Rev. 20:1-10; Rev.21, 22)

MARRIAGE

We believe in marriage as a union of man and woman for relationship, intimacy, procreation and family (Gen. 2:18, 21-15). Apart from this kind of marriage, all other kinds of marriage are prohibited and we strongly reject it as far as the Holy Scripture is concerned.
